BZA Agenda- May 10, 2010

Notice is hereby given that the Steuben County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 7:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Steuben County Community Center, 317 S. Wayne, Angola, IN, for consideration of the following agenda:



1. (V-10-26) Teri Payne & Tom Herbert petition for one developmental-standard variance for an attached garage addition. Variance is for a road-front setback of six (6) inches rather than the twenty-five (25) feet required. Property is located at 280 LN 852 Snow Lake, Section 27 of Jamestown Twp (Map# 76-03-27-210-211.000-006),

2. (V-10-27) Stacy Elling petitions for one developmental-standard variance for an addition. Variance is for a building-to-building setback of three and six-tenths (3.6) feet rather than the ten (10) feet required. Property is located at 2200 W Orland Road Lot 1, Section 9 of Pleasant Twp (Map# 76-06-09-130-103.010-011),

3. (V-10-28) Eric & Betty Williams petition for one developmental-standard variance for a new detached garage. Variance is for an accessory building height of two (2) stories rather than the one (1) story allowed. Property is located at 6880 W Orland Road, Section 35 of Millgrove Twp (Map# 76-04-35-220-138.000-007),

4. (V-10-29) Daniel & Nancy Anthony petition for one land-use variance for a new pole barn. Variance is to construct an accessory structure in a platted residential subdivision where parcel is not adjacent to the primary residence. Proposed project is on Lot 43 Rosewood 1st, Section 6 of Steuben Twp (Map# 76-11-06-410-148.000-017),

5. (V-10-30) Stockwell Acres, Inc. petitions for one developmental-standard variance for a new confined feeding barn. Variance is for a road-front setback of forty-eight (48) feet rather than the three hundred (300) feet required. Property is located at 6205 S 600 W, Section 26 of Salem Twp (Map# 76-76-12-26-000-001.014), &

6. (V-10-31) James & Sharon Crager petition for two land-use variances for a home and business. Variances are to have two (2) uses on a parcel rather than the one (1) use allowed & for a trucking business in an agricultural zoning district where that use is neither a permitted nor a special exception use. Property is located at 7935 & 7920 E 15 N, Section 19 of York Twp (Map# 76-08-19-000-025/026.000-021).




The above petitions are on file for public examination in the Plan Commission Office, 317 S Wayne St Ste 3L, Angola, IN. Written statements may be filed with the Steuben County Plan Director and may be considered by the BZA at the public hearing. Interested persons wishing to present their views on a petition will be given the opportunity to do so at the hearing. Hearings on particular petitions may be continued at the discretion of the BZA. Petitions requiring the consideration of the Board of Commissioners will be heard at their next regularly scheduled meeting with agenda openings.
