BZA Agenda- February 7, 2011

Notice is hereby given that the Steuben County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on February 7, 2011, at 7:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Steuben County Community Center, 317 S. Wayne, Angola, IN, for consideration of the following agenda:



1. (V-11-05) Armstrong Property LLC & Bruce Armstrong petition for one developmental-standard variance for a home addition. Variance is for a road-front setback of nineteen & two-tenths (19.2) feet rather than the twenty-five (25) feet required. Property is located at 1160 LN 301 Lk George, Section 15 of Jamestown Twp (Map# 76-03-15-120-107.000-006),

2. (V-11-06) Brian & Amy Kaufman petition for one developmental-standard variance for a home addition. Variance is for a road-front setback of ten & eight-tenths (10.8) feet rather than the twenty-five (25) feet required. Property is located at 140 LN 301C Lk George, Section 15 of Jamestown Twp (Map# 76-03-15-110-101/102.000-006),

Variances are for a side-yard setback of one and five-tenths (1.5) feet rather than the two (2) feet required & for fence posts located on the outside of the property intended to fence rather than the inside required. Property is located at 2565 N 400 W, Section 7 of Pleasant Twp (Map# 76-06-07-140-212/217.000-011), &

5. (V-11-09AB) John & Cynthia Somers petition for two developmental-standard variances for a new detached garage. Variances are for a road-front setback of twenty-two (22) feet rather than the twenty-five (25) feet required & a rear-yard setback of five (5) feet rather than the twenty (20) feet required. Property is located north of 55 LN 150C Lk James, Section 3 of Pleasant Twp (Map# 76-06-03-120-306.030-011).




The above petitions are on file for public examination in the Plan Commission Office, 317 S Wayne St Ste 3L, Angola, IN. Written statements may be filed with the Steuben County Plan Director and may be considered by the BZA at the public hearing. Interested persons wishing to present their views on a petition will be given the opportunity to do so at the hearing. Hearings on particular petitions may be continued at the discretion of the BZA. Petitions requiring the consideration of the Board of Commissioners will be heard at their next regularly scheduled meeting with agenda openings.
