County Commissioners- December 21, 2009

The Steuben County Plan Commission has several items of business on the agenda for the next Steuben County Commissioner’s Meeting, Monday, December 21, 2009.

(VPW-09-01) Gary Hoopengardner, Robert Grogg, & John Grogg petition for a vacation of a public way.

Plan Commission forwarded the petition with an 8-0 favorable recommendation.


(VPW-09-02) Francis & Wanda Grogg petition for a vacation of a public way.

Plan Commission forwarded the petition with an 8-0 favorable recommendation.


(VPW-09-03) Rose Ann & James Cox, Jennifer Sklenar, & Greg Tipsord petition for a vacation of a public way.

Plan Commission forwarded the petition with an 8-0 favorable recommendation.


(A-09-03) An amendment to the Steuben County Zoning Ordinance concerning wind turbines, wind energy conversion systems, wind energy conversion system overlay zoning districts, & wind farms.

Plan Commission forwarded the amendment with an 8-0 favorable recommendation.


The Plan Commission Office will ask for the County Commissioners’ approval to spend $399.98 for online training for two staff members. Money will be paid from the “Continuing Education” Fund.


The County Commissioners will reappoint two members to the Plan Commission and one member to the Board of Zoning Appeals. The four year long terms will run through December 31, 2013.
