Plan Commission Agenda- September 1, 2010

Notice is hereby given that the Steuben County Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 7:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Steuben County Community Center, 317 S. Wayne, Angola, IN, for consideration of the following agenda:



1. (Z-10-08) Ned & Judy Sullins petition for a zone change from Agriculture to Local Business. The proposed zone change will measure roughly two (2) acres. Property is located west of 7050 E SR 120, Section 30 of Clear Lake Twp (Map# 76-01-30-000-013.000-001),

2. (VPW-10-03) Brenda Doden petitions for a vacation of a public way. Proposed vacation is an eight-foot-wide walkway located between lots 13 & 14 of Shady Nook Resort 1. Public way is located between 6935 & 6945 W North Lake Gage, Section 35 of Millgrove Twp (Map# 76-04-35-320-613/614/615/616/617/618.000-007),

3. (P-10-11) Richard Emerick et al petition for primary approval of the minor subdivision “Emerick Acres.” The proposed subdivision will create two (2) lots measuring roughly four and eight tenths (4.8) & five and three tenths (5.3) acres. Property is located at 8900 E 400 N, Section 32 of Clear Lake Twp (Map# 76-01-32-000-009.000-001),

4. (P-10-12) Richard & Rorie Senger petition for primary approval of the minor subdivision “Senger Farm.” The proposed subdivision will create two (2) lots measuring roughly five (5) acres & thirty-five and four tenths (35.4) acres. Property is located at 1355 E 300 N, Section 7 of Scott Twp (Map# 76-07-07-000-002.000-016),

5. (P-10-13) Dusty & Stephanie Feller petition for primary approval of the minor subdivision “Feller Ranch.” The proposed subdivision will create one (1) lot measuring roughly two and four tenths (2.4) acres. Property is located at 6355 W 350 N, Section 2 of Jackson Twp (Map# 76-05-02-000-014.020-005),

6. (P-10-14) Alan & Jody Steury & Michael & Jonathon Berry petition to amend the plat of Hollywood Landing. Proposed amendment will create new boundaries for lots 2 & 3 Hollywood Landing. Properties are located at 2255 & 2245 W Orland Rd, Section 9 of Pleasant Twp (Map# 76-06-09-130-402/403.000-011),

7. (A-10-04) An amendment to the Steuben County Zoning Ordinance Floodplain Restrictions. Proposed amendment will bring the local ordinance into compliance with State of Indiana requirements concerning floodplain standards.

8. Sign Compliance Program to outline the process for identifying and removing illegal signs in the Steuben County Plan Commission jurisdiction and an Integrated Sign Program to outline a wayfinding and attraction sign system.




The above petitions are on file for public examination in the Plan Commission Office, 317 S Wayne St Ste 3L, Angola, IN. Written statements may be filed with the Steuben County Plan Director and may be considered by the Plan Commission at the public hearing. Interested persons wishing to present their views on a petition will be given the opportunity to do so at the hearing. Hearings on particular petitions may be continued at the discretion of the Plan Commission. Petitions requiring the consideration of the Board of Commissioners or the BZA will be heard at their next regularly scheduled meeting with agenda openings.
